In 2019, as part of the preparation for the organisations constitution and operative provisions, extensive research was undertaken, including site visits to amnesty bins locations, and consultation with young people regarding use of amnesty bins. Research determined aspects including height, location and design we key features to encourage deposits. The ibns have received over 1200 deposits since being placed in Chelmsford City, in 2021.
